this would be dope in a club or venue
Bottle wall (no sound) from Alex Beim on Vimeo.
The awesome LED bottle wall by Alex Beim.
"An illuminated bottle wall. There is a LED controllable light behind each bottle that is controlled from an on board computer.
11 x 23 = 253 bottles in total create this mobile wall that will be taken to festivals this summer in and around Toronto
Something missing in the video is that the cavities for the bottles are empty at the beginning and people start filling them with empty containers to reveal the visuals.
Everything started when Tom (the client) said I want to make a light bright with bottles for Bacardi, is that possible? "
DOPEST STOP FRAME ANIMATION!
This is artist Bang-Yao Liu's senior project from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). It's a stop motion video that uses different colored Post-It notes as pixels. I recommend watching the whole thing. Twice. Then telling yourself you could do better, even though we both know you couldn't. And I'm not just saying that because you're lazy, but because you're talentless.

Shroom USB Drive and Mario Brick USB Extension
For those of you that still love good old Mario, this is a USB drive you’ll definitely appreciate. This little Shroom will hold your data and look cool while doing it. Not only that, but you can also pick up a USB extender that allows for it to be plugged directly into a small brick square. Strongly resembling the ones out of the game that you would bump to make that precious shroom pop out, to give you just a little extra light. All the while making your hands look huuuge and the rest of your grow a bit as well.
must have for all OF heads!!!

Vogue Nippon July 2009 : White Wings
I love this editorial from Vogue Nippon’s July issue featuring Raquel Zimmermann as a Mod Goddess. The styling is absolute throw back to the way my mother was dressing from ‘78 till about ‘82, from the black and white architectural dresses to the earpieces that few people could pull off. Its nice to see that item making its way back into an editorial, I’m pretty certain after the success of this editorial there will be a lot of sourcing for earpieces for shoots, its a good thing I have a small section in my jewelry box with the original one’s from my moms hay day. I am very curious about the designer behind the one featured here because they are definitely different then my collection or any I have seen before but would not be shocked at all if it was indeed a vintage piece. I will do some research and find out. For now just enjoy these luscious images.
Designer Fire Extinguishers
What you would usually hide, thanks to french design studio Fire Design, you would even want to display, very design friendly Fire Extenguishers by Fire Design.
EVERY BALLIN GEEK NEEDS THIS!!!!
I don’t think any accessory could be more fitting for all of us nerds with swag than this piece from ‘BlingVaders’. Not only that, it’s also ‘recession-proof’: you can cop one for a humble $20. Now we can all be one step closer to taking on T-Pain, Rick Ross, Sean Kingston, or Skool Boy (the best one of all) in a battle for the best bling. Recession what?

Plane Jane Project
some items they had for sale at the renegade craft fair
pretty amazing illustrations and models
Yoyogi House / frontofficetokyo
The site we were presented with by the client is typical of Tokyo’s older residential areas - defined by narrow streets whose character emerges more from the individual choices of the homeowners than from any comprehensive urban plan. More specific, the elongated and narrow plot (5.4m x 16m) is surrounded on all sides by houses built to the razor’s edge of their property lines and to the maximum height the local zoning laws allow. The result; a site flanked by tall blank walls on its two long sides, and facing directly onto a neighbour’s home to the South, with only a sliver of open sky available on the south-east corner.

Chris McVeighs work is pretty dope
Chris McVeigh is an author, illustrator and photographer that lives in Halifax, NS. He started with photography in 2007 when a friend insisted that he should purchase a digital SRL. Chris is a natural talent! He now excels at creating clever, quirky and often comical pictures that employ everything from action figures to backyard wildlife. (In fact, a combination of the two garnered the attention of Lucasfilm, who featured his picture on the front page of starwars.com!)
Creative Room Dividers
Paravent by Mona Hatoum (UK) - Based on a fold-out cheese grater scaled up to the size of a room divider or screen giving it surreal and architectural dimensions.
Water Bottle Privacy Screen by Klein Dytham- made from recycled water bottles
Natural Tree Branch Divider by Natsiq Outdoor features towering tree branches attached to a lacquered stainless steel base. It acts much the same way a natural privacy screen of trees would, allowing in just the right amount of light and breaking up the space without closing it off.
Banksy Versus Bristol Museum, AMAZING!!!!!!
Tomorrow is the opening of Banksy’s exhibition at the Bristol Museum. 100 works will be shown and this quote of the master himself sums it up perfectly: “This is the first show I’ve ever done where taxpayers’ money is being used to hang my pictures up rather than scrape them off”.
This is mandatory for everyone close to Bristol till August 31st!
THE ENTRY IS FREE
Modern Sofas with Vibrant Colors
Roche Bobois shows their European roots with hot colors for sofas from their "Les Contemporains" collection that tastefully makes a statement without going over board, of course over board is subjective. I have always had high regard for the Roche Bobois modern furniture collection and if you have ever visited one of their store is hard not to. Here are some of the sofas, ottomans, and decorative home accessories that are anything but mundane and offer a bright and optimistic way to deck out your living room.

Arch Daily Hind House / John Pardey Architects
The clients had moved into a rather ordinary brick and tile 1970’s house on the banks of the river Loddon in early 2005 and wished to rebuild using a system-built house from the continent, but had become disillusioned with the cost and inflexibility that this offered and so approached us as they had been impressed by a house some 400 meters along the river that we had completed the previous year (The ‘Attwood house’ which went on to win the Grand Designs Best Remodeled House in Britain Award in 2007). Initially, we offered to come up with a sketch design for a small cost on the basis of no-win, no job! Happily, they loved the concept and after a few months of developing their ambitions, we arrived at the final design.

Heinz World's Smallest USB Microwave
Heinz's Beanzawave is the world's smallest, portable microwave and powered by the USB port on a laptop computer. It stands just 7.4inches tall by 6.2in wide and 5.9in deep, currently is only a prototype. It costs around £100($160), so the cost of production could fall to the point where it becomes profitable to manufacture on a large scale.
'The single serve microwavable Snap Pots allow people to quickly heat and eat. We are therefore delighted to be working with Gordon as the Beanzawave is the perfect partner to Heinz Snap Pots, allowing a nutritious snack to be whipped up anywhere in just 60 seconds.'
